We are now the Williston State College Business Technology Organization, otherwise known as Biz-Tech.org. We have combined forces with the Business Club on campus.

TechFest 2010 will be held on Febuary 6th, 2010 in the Old Gym and Williston State College. It will feature the fun side of technology as well as an informative side. There will be booths and demos in the gym, short classes in the classrooms of Stevens Hall, Food, Keynote Speakers(s) and much more. This will be an exciting day for all who attend.

Very Busy 2 Weeks

I have been very busy this last 2 weeks. I was voted in for President of the WSC Computer Club....now renamed WSC Computer and Technology Club. I was also finally made offical for Webmaster of the Club also (see http://it.wsc.nodak.edu/). It has been a very hecktic week. We had a club meeting on Thursday that was only supposed to be 45 minutes that turned into 1:45 hours. I was great to get so much accomplished though. The only think I definately need to do this week is to get the Photo releases signed and on file for the computer club and need to have our by-laws officer (Ken) find the ones that the old club had on file and vote them one by one. Then we will be offical. If anyone at the college is interested in becoming a member, navigate to the home page of our website (http://it.wsc.nodak.edu/) and click the sign up link at the bottom right of the page and fill in the form that will come up on screen and we will get back to you. Well I hope you all have a wonderful weekend and I will see you on Monday.

Web Page Update

We will be upgrading our Web Site Hardware during the day today hopefully. You will get a single upgrade page. We have also submitted the page to Google and Bing for a complete crawl using there webpage tools. Check out the webpage while it is still up at http://it.wsc.nodak.edu We should be done with the upgrade in about 2 hours or so once noon comes along.

hey everyone. this weekend was ok. rested up and ready to rock-n-roll this week. just letting people know that we are talking about having some instructional classes for easy navigation on computers. this will center on more adult learning, and individuals that really need the basic computer help. we are also trying to set up classes on specific computer programs, such as Webex Connect, remote desktop, and voice recognition. we would also like more ideas of what individuals would like to have instructional classes on. well thanks and hope this week goes well for everyone. we are looking forward to hearing feedback on anything you see or hear.

TV and Smartboard

We finally got our smartboard put up along with our TV. Before Thursday we should be mounting the TV and putting up the 4 speakers up in the room in each corner. 550 watts of power from the JukeBox/Karaoke machine in the back of the room!
